It’s with heavy heart I inform you of the political unrest in Nicaragua. Prayers are  with my friends, the country and Colegio Bautista, which is in the middle of the chaos in Managua.

These pictures show the rioting and looting in the neighborhood I stay when I go. My concern is for the families in these neighborhoods. They are a tight knit group that look out for each other and are survivors. They have always watched out for me and are good people.

I’ve always felt safe in Nicaragua, but you never know what discontent is brewing under the surface of a dictator led country. This happens a lot in the countries south of the border. We take so much for granted!

.

I have championed the virtues of Nicaragua the last two years. It shows the fragile balance of peace in these Central American countries. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail. The future of Nicaragua hangs in the balance and it’s good to know our media is all over covering the royal baby birth!

I contend that the truth for all sides is somewhere in the middle, may we all listen to those with other views and keep an open mind. Nicaraguans want to live in peace and raise their families. We all live in a world gone mad by a relatively few! I will keep you informed from the people I know in Managua.
